TLDR last asked for OpenObserve benchmarks. Prabhat and Laurent shared practical user experiences, stating fast search and ingestion times.
No. If you run benchmarks, do let us know what you find. We have been told by users that searches are faster than Loki and analytics are much faster than elasticsearch. Ingestion is faster in both cases.
sure thankx
For what is worth we're evaluating openobserve currently in my company against our current opensearch deployment. Our current setup: opensearch: 2*data nodes (r6g.large) and 3*dedicated master nodes (m6g.large), using the amazon opensearch service vs self-hosted openobserve on ec2 (single node, 1*m7g.large) We measure using our actual everyday queries, which are reasonably complex queries (1 to 5 conditions applied) over our real logging data We see that typically they complete in about the same time. Openobserve costs us 10 times less though (instances + storage)
