Reorganizing Announcement Notifications in Channels

TLDR Charles requested notification adjustments for blog alerts. Prabhat agreed to take suggestions, and Charles recommended a specific channel dedicated to such announcements.

Can we put these type of announcements in a channel I can control the notifications in and review at my leisure instead of getting blasted?

In other slacks/discords what i've seen people do is create an #announcement or #news channel or some topic like that. This channel gets set as a default channel for all members. However, what it does provide is a mechanism for members to control how they are notified of activity by right clicking on that channel and adjusting the notification settings
.
